This site was unique because there were so many features packed in such a little area. Located in a development with Lake Michigan access, the client's requirements were to have a way to get from the access trail to thier walk out basement which would have an outdoor shower on the lower patio. In addition, they wanted an intermediate level where the children's play set would later be built. They also wanted a main patio level where they could entertain guests or take a private dip in a hot tub. The remaining area was to be used for the firepit. All of these spaces had to flow together smoothly admist a water feature which would intertwine them. This was the main focal point of the project. Starting from behind some trees up the hill, it careses it's way down the hill creating different moods with it's various tempos. Access to the upper firepit area was accomplished by a stone bridge which allowed the client to enjoy the koi fish as they walked accross.
