What we had to start with was a thirty-year-old landscape, which needed serious work. The backyard was terraced into unusable spaces with broken concrete walls. The vegetation in back was overgrown, while the front of the house needed some updated curb appeal. The main focus was to re-sculpt the backyard into three different levels: a dining/entertaining area, a mid-level lawn area, and a lower area, which would include a spot for a hot tub. The only way to accomplish this was to remove everything and start from scratch.   The upper level patio is at the same grade as the driveway creating a smooth transition for guests to travel into and out of this space. The stone steps take you down to a lush lawn where you can lounge in a hammock chair while taking in a different perspective of the landscape. From there you step down to the lower level patio which is also accessed by the walk out basement making it convenient to dip in and out of the hot tub. More updated pictures will be posted soon.
