Fennville
The first challenge was to create a grand entry that would transition the front porch down to the turn around driveway. The answer was a series of natural stone veneer retaining walls that would not only terrace the elevation change, but also would blend with and strengthen the home's existing foundation. The steps were scaled proportionately to the size of the home allowing ample room for in and out traffic. As you tour around the home you will see how the paving materials of textured concrete and brick pavers come together along with the stone outcroppings (approximately 100 tons) to complete the landscape foundation of this project. On the lakeside of the home you will find plenty of room for entertaining. Whether it is lounging on the deck, cooking in the grill area, or enjoying a fire, each space has its own identity while still being able to flow together to form a continuous landscape. The end result was a fully functional landscape that fit the surroundings and supported the architecture elements of the home.
