City Lot
The biggest challenge of this project was to end up with a design which fit the clients needs and allowed comfortable traffic flows without becoming to busy for a small site. The two main requests from the clients were privacy from the surrounding neighbors and the city parking lot, as well as having a sitting area with possibly a fire pit. We accomplished the privacy issue with a custom designed fence made of cedar and black aluminum. The fire pit area turned into a small eating space with a fire and water feature. The natural landscape stone and brick paver selections were chosen based on the stone that was existing on the home's foundation. The black lava ground cover stone was chosen to give contrast to the other hardscape materials, provide a nice back drop to the colorful perennials, and to minimize on the maintenance of the site. There are too many details that went into the design intent to cover here, so please call us if you are looking for more information and we would be glad to help.
